Fighting Hunger

WoodmenLife chapters had another busy month! Our members showed their ongoing commitment to family, community and country — and they had some fun at the same time.

Above, Chapter 68 in Searcy, AR, officers and members presented food for the backpack program at the Riverview School District.

Six people stand together in the photo, with the center two people holding up an American flag. The group is standing alongside a fire truck.

On behalf of Chapter 477 in Waycross, GA, Recruiting Sales Manager Andrea Osburn and Representative Chris Rolison presented a new American flag to Ware County Fire Rescue to commemorate 9/11.

Eight people stand around a stack of donated school supplies, which includes paper towels, Band-Aids, binders, and markers. The group of people and school supplies are standing in an elementary school hallway.

Members with Chapter 1439 in Harrisburg, AR, donated school supplies to Harrisburg Elementary School.

A man is propped up on a table as he donates blood. Five WoodmenLife members stand around him.

Chapter 106 in Cordele, GA, sponsored a blood drive at the Cordele Community Clubhouse. On the table donating blood is Georgia South Regional Director Dennis Powers.

A group of eight people stand together holding an oversized check. The group stands below a large American flag.

Chapter 136 in Nathalie, VA, partnered with the WoodmenLife Outreach Foundation to donate $6,000 to the Triangle Volunteer Fire Department.

Seven people — a mixture of WoodmenLife members and firefighters — stand together holding four WoodmenLife-branded flag boxes. The group is outside, and there is a firetruck parked behind them.

Members with Chapter 254 in Charleston, WV, presented new American flags to the South Charleston Fire Department’s Stations #1 and #3.

Ten people appear in this photo. The two people in the foreground are holding an oversized check for $400 made out to Brooks Co. Family Connection. The eight people in the background are standing behind a WoodmenLife-branded table and are all wearing blue T-shirts that say "WeCare WoodmenLife."

For its third-quarter project, Chapter 26 in Quitman, GA, donated $400 to Brooks County Family Connection, an organization that aims to address challenges faced by local children and families. In addition, nine chapter members volunteered their time at the organization’s food bank; they distributed 2,340 pounds of food to 198 people that day.

A group of 15 people, some standing and some sitting, gather around the donations. Several people wear blue WoodmenLife T-shirts.

Chapter 86 in Nashville, AR, donated supplies — including diapers and baby formula — to The CALL, which is a nonprofit organization that supports children and families in foster care.
