Community

WoodmenLife chapters had another busy month! Our members showed their ongoing commitment to family, community and country — and they had some fun at the same time.

Above, members with Chapter 254 in Charleston, WV, delivered book bags and school supplies to the Davis Child Center. Representing the chapter were Lula Cavender, Charla Casey and Loretta Baldwin; they presented the donation to Amanda Williams.

Chapter 115 in Mayfield, KY, donated $1,000 to Trooper Island Kid’s Camp. Trooper Island was developed by the Kentucky State Police to give kids a week of fun, away from the tension and turmoil they might experience in their everyday lives. Members Richard Newsom, Debbie Newsom and Gloria Olney presented the donation to State Trooper Casey Hamby.

Chapter 199 in Barnesville, GA, collected personal care items for a local nursing home. Members Martha Mackey and Dianne Williams delivered the donations on behalf of the chapter.

On behalf of Chapter 741 in Mayfield, KY, Recruiting Sales Manager Rick Willis and Representative Quincey Cherry presented a new American flag to the Mayfield/Graves County A.T.C. school. Receiving the flag for the school are Josh Heisner and Patrice Wyatt.

Six people stand together holding an oversized check. The check is made out to Jay's Hope Foundation in the amount of $5,000.

Chapter 6023 in Macon, GA, donated $5,000 to Jay’s Hope Foundation, which supports children battling cancer. The foundation’s offices were robbed and vandalized in July, and the chapter donation is meant to help with upcoming events and to help fulfill the needs of the children and their families.
