WoodmenLife chapters had another busy month! Our members showed their ongoing commitment to family, community and country — and they had some fun at the same time.

Above, members of Chapter 567 in Ayden, NC, packed food boxes, stocked shelves and donated to the Salvation Army Food Pantry in Greenville, NC. Pictured are Mack Haddock, Kay Haddock, Judy Tart, Ann Malan, Lynn Malan, Lieutenant Jennifer Gallagher, Hilda Boyd, and Barbara Forrest.

Eight people stand together for a photo. They are holding folders, pencils, Lysol wipes and other chapter donations for the elementary school.

For its third quarter project, Chapter 4 in Fulton, KY, donated school supplies to the local elementary school. Pictured are WoodmenLife Representative Angie Lattus, Chapter Treasurer Donna Myatt, Sheila Phipps, Peter Zalucki, Norma Puckett, Joan Livingston, Chapter President Sheryl Thomas, and Candace Govern.

Six people stand together holding an oversized check. The check is for $400, made out to Columbia County Cares.

Members with Chapter 1571 in Martinez, GA, volunteered at the Columbia County Cares Food Bank. The members were busy repackaging eggs, coffee and flour into smaller containers, and sorting canned goods. They also presented a check for $400 to the food bank to purchase food. Pictured are Betty Curtis, Jodi Reece, Carolyn Clark, Donna Player, Chuck Clark, and WoodmenLife Representative George Lively.

Four people stand together holding an oversized check. The check is made out to Murray Main Street in the amount of $2,500.

The WoodmenLife Outreach Foundation awarded a $2,500 donation to Murray Main Street in Kentucky. WoodmenLife Representative Rachel Brown suggested this organization because of all the work it does with local events and community beautification. Pictured are Matt Falwell, Murray Main Street Board of Directors president; Deana Wright, Murray Main Street executive director; Brown; and WoodmenLife Community Outreach Advisor Lisa Farris.

Eight people are standing together. Two of the people in front are holding a glass award. Projected on the wall behind the group is a screen that says "2024 National Chapter of the Year Contest, 5th Place, Chapter 1483 Hampstead."

Chapter 1483 in Hampstead, NC, was honored to earn fifth place in the National Chapter of the Year contest. Pictured are Regional Director Spencer Owen, Chapter Secretary Debbie Johnson, Community Outreach Advisor Eric Pilson, Chapter Treasurer Barbara Horrell, Representative Travis Horrell, Representative John Gilbert, Tanya Hume, and Representative Heidi Longo.

Two men stand together holding a flag box. Behind them is a school, Calloway County Middle School. The photo is taken from the ground level looking up, so you can see the flag atop the school.

WoodmenLife Representative Cameron McDaniel took a break from his Giving Together painting project to present a flag to Deputy Thomas Bailey, the School Resource Officer at Calloway County Middle School in Murray, KY.

Four people are in the photo. The three women — all WoodmenLife members — are presenting flag boxes to the man. The group is standing outside.

On behalf of Chapter 254 in Charleston, WV, members Lula Cavender, Charla Casey and Loretta Baldwin presented new flags — including a POW flag — to Bruce Purnell with the Roark-Sullivan Lifeway Center.

Nine people stand together for a check presentation. Behind them on the wall is the Open Hearts Open Hands, Inc. logo. On shelves along the wall and in bags near the group are donated items.

For its third quarter project, Chapter 574 in Lewisburg, KY, visited Open Hearts Open Hands, Inc., to present a monetary donation to the food pantry. Members also helped distribute food to families arriving at the pantry in need of assistance.
