At WoodmenLife, we recognize the profound impact our associates have on our workplace culture, engagement and overall organizational achievements. This is important because it directly impacts the service we provide to our members.
Each quarter, we honor and celebrate the outstanding contributions of our associates who have transformed our organization through their innovative strategies. Winners are nominated throughout the quarter by peers, supervisors or other WoodmenLife stakeholders. Each award recipient has shown excellence in a specific category, demonstrating their dedication to cultivating a positive culture at WoodmenLife.
We are honored to recognize our First Quarter 2024 Values Champion Award winner: Janelle Arthur, Sr. Graphic Designer. She was nominated by colleague Mike Mort.
Arthur displays exceptional collaboration within the Marketing Division. She is in close contact with colleagues, despite being a remote worker. Arthur also spearheads many of the Graphic Design team conversations, brings up concerns or gets ahead of potential problems, which helps to inform the team.
She always goes out of her way to check in on co-workers and offers support if she sees that their workload is heavy. If a co-worker hits a roadblock, she is one of the first people they turn to for help.
Arthur organizes Graphic Design team meetings to ensure everyone’s work remains consistent and everyone feels comfortable with their tools. She is a supportive and team-focused contributor. Her interpersonal skills and empathy have helped her collaborate and lead.
We are proud to celebrate these individuals who won the Power of We Award for showing collaboration, creativity and open-mindedness to generate new ideas, identify problems and present innovative solutions.
The First Quarter 2024 Power of We Award winners are:
Donna James | Lori Newburn | Rachael Eldridge |
Daniel Fajardo | Scott Hopkins | George McCoy |
Michael Koller | Ronak Patel | Matt Turpen |
Gary Rogers | Kyle Jorgensen | Prachi Deshpande |
Sri Dindu | Ryan Koziel | Steve Price |
They were nominated by colleagues Denise Cushman, Aaron Bruner and Emily Oliver.
The award winners set up an automated pipeline that enabled new code changes to be deployed to an environment in under 10 minutes. This meant that changes were taking effect in one week, compared to the two weeks it previously took to deploy the new code changes.
These associates continuously collaborated on troubleshooting issues within the platform for fast feedback. They supported each other by sharing knowledge and skill sets.
