Community

WoodmenLife chapters had another busy month! Our members showed their ongoing commitment to family, community, and country — and they had some fun at the same time.

Did your chapter do a really cool project? We want to hear about it! Upload your photo and tell us all about the project at WoodmenLife.org/Photos. You could see your photo featured here!

Above, Chapter 1054 in Pomaria, SC, donated $400 worth of school supplies to Pomaria-Garmany Elementary School to help replenish the supply as students returned from the holiday break. The chapter also donated $250 to a school campaign to raise money for a sensory room for special needs students. Pictured are Assistant Principal Casey Willingham, Chapter Secretary Beverly Hollowell, Principal Lindsey Folk, and Chapter President Libby Bedenbaugh.

11 people stand along a long table. On the table are several boxes filled with snack foods, like Pop Tarts, chips, and popcorn.

Chapter 138 in Hazel, KY, partnered with Chapter 592 in Murray, KY, to purchase snacks and fill backpacks for local high school students through Need Line. Each student was able to take home a bag of food for the weekend.

Three people stand together. The woman in the middle is holding a navy blue box that has the WoodmenLife logo on it. The WoodmenLife name is also on the wall behind the people.

Chapter 117 in Benton, KY, presented a new American flag to the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Calvert City, KY. Pictured are Chapter President Donald Long, Patty Albert with the FOE, and Chapter Secretary/Sales Representative Kacie Slack.

Three people stand together in the photo. They are each holding a box. Behind them is a Christmas tree.

Chapter 296 in Brownsville, KY, purchased a Nex Playground and two tables for the Edmonson Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. The donations will help residents with movement, eye coordination, and mind stimulation. Pictured are Chapter President Hank Vincent, staff member Sharon Logsdon, and Chapter Secretary Delores Jones.

Five people stand together in the photo. They are holding an oversized check that's made out to Need Line in the amount of $1,000.

At a recent meeting, Chapter 115 in Mayfield, KY, made two donations: one to Need Line for utilities and rent assistance, and a second to the region’s WoodmenLife Family Day event. Pictured are Richard Newsom, Tamie Johnson, Larry Washburn, Debbie Newsom, and COA Lisa Farris.

Two women appear in the photo. They are standing around a counter that has Domino's pizza, cookies, and Capri Sun on it.

Chapter 15 in Grenada, MS, hosted the 12 Days of Christmas for the local Boys & Girls Club. Members delivered crafts and other items for 11 days. Then, on the 12th day, members hosted a pizza and cookie party and gave two wrapped gifts to each of the 34 children. Pictured are Chapter President Charlotte Pollan and Sara Kinnel.
