Meet WoodmenLife’s May 2024 Sure Start Winner: Andrea Rangel

WoodmenLife is committed to offering training to Representatives to help them grow and have the tools they need to best serve our members. Qualifying new full-time Representatives are invited to Sure Start, which helps them kick off their careers with WoodmenLife. During the 12 months following their Sure Start training, these Representatives have a friendly competition with their classmates to see how well they put their lessons into action.

Get to know our May 2024 Sure Start Winner: Andrea Rangel of Devine, TX.

Congratulations on your Sure Start victory! How did you celebrate?

I’m from Texas, y’all! There’s no other way to celebrate besides having a nice steak dinner with my awesome husband and kids.

What inspired you to choose a career with WoodmenLife?

I was a WoodmenLife member prior to coming on board as a Representative, and I was always impressed with how WoodmenLife takes great pride in supporting our country, community and family.

Have you always wanted to pursue a career in sales?

I chose this position because I felt that it was much more than “sales.” It perfectly aligned with my passion to educate and help provide financial security for individuals and families.

What drives you to deliver great service for your members?

I care about the satisfaction of our members — the products WoodmenLife offers, the service they receive from me and long-lasting relationships I build with them.

What does success look like to you?

My definition of success has changed many times over the years, but what matters most to me is having a positive impact and making a difference in whatever I do.

Tell us a little about how you’re involved in your community. Why is community outreach so important to you?

I have only scratched the surface of serving my community as it’s such a large area. However, I’ve made many stops along the way to build relationships and to show appreciation and recognition where it’s due — whether it’s by volunteering at the local food pantry, donating flags, providing lunch to teachers and First Responders, or giving back through our Giving Together program.

Do you have a particularly memorable moment from your time so far with WoodmenLife?

I have had many great experiences, but my favorite thing is the level of support and friendship that I have gained from the other Representatives I have met at WoodmenLife.

What are your goals for the future?

My goal is to continue making a difference and help families in my community.
