Meet WoodmenLife’s December 2024 Sure Start Winner: Rachel Ratliff

WoodmenLife is committed to helping our Sales Representatives grow by offering training and providing the tools they need to best serve our members. Qualifying new full-time Representatives are invited to Sure Start, an interactive training event that helps them kick off their careers with WoodmenLife. During the 12 months following their Sure Start education, these Representatives have a friendly competition with their classmates to see how well they put their lessons into action and compare their sales achievements.

Get to know our December 2024 Sure Start Winner: Rachel Ratliff of Flemingsburg, KY.

Congratulations on your Sure Start victory! How did you celebrate?

My family took me out to eat to celebrate the achievement.

What inspired you to choose a career with WoodmenLife?

I was working for another insurance company when I met Recruiting Sales Manager Chris Bravard. Chris was confident that I would be a great fit on the WoodmenLife team. After an interview, Chris talked about how WoodmenLife gives back to communities — that made a huge impact on my decision.

Have you always wanted to pursue a career in sales?

I never thought I would be a good candidate for a sales position — but now that I am here, I love it! Being able to help families protect their financial future and support communities is a wonderful feeling.

What drives you to deliver great service for your members?

I want the best for everyone. I work hard daily to find opportunities to help people take care of their families.

What does success look like to you?

Success is knowing you have helped someone in need. Helping create financial stability for others and knowing someone lays down at night with one less stress, is a positive vibe.

Why is community outreach so important to you?

My family lives on donating time and resources where needed. We love our small town.

Do you have a particularly memorable moment from your time so far with WoodmenLife?

It is hard to choose only one memorable moment during my time with WoodmenLife. Just watching my clients’ faces light up with happiness is one of the greatest feelings a Representative can have.

What are your goals for the future?

My goals for the future are to continue helping those in need, while also being dedicated to offering expertise and finding the right solution for members based on their specific situation and needs.
