WoodmenLife is committed to offering training to our Sales Representatives to help them grow and have the tools they need to best serve our members. Qualifying new full-time Representatives are invited to Sure Start, an interactive training event that helps them kick off their careers with WoodmenLife. During the 12 months following their Sure Start education, these Representatives have a friendly competition with their classmates to see how well they put their lessons into action and compare their sales achievements.

Congratulations on your Sure Start victory! How did you celebrate?
Thank you so much! My wife and I celebrated by going out to dinner. I am so glad I got to celebrate with her. She has supported me since I started this journey, and I wouldn’t be here without her.
What inspired you to choose a career with WoodmenLife?
I’ve always been drawn to work that truly makes a difference in people’s lives. When I was presented with the opportunity to work at WoodmenLife, I was inspired by the organization’s values and the alignment of those values with my own.
Have you always wanted to pursue a career in sales?
I didn’t always know that I would go into sales, but I have realized how naturally it fits my personality. After beginning my career at WoodmenLife, I knew that this was a path where I could thrive and make a meaningful difference.
What drives you to deliver great service for your members?
What drives me is knowing that the service I provide can directly impact someone’s financial future and peace of mind. When people come to us, they are thinking about how they can best protect their loved ones — and I take that very seriously. I am grateful for the relationships that I have made with the members I have been able to serve.
What does success look like to you?
To me, success means making a real impact in the lives of my clients. If my client feels confident, supported, and protected by the services we offer, then I know that I’ve done my job well.
Tell us a little about how you’re involved in your community. Why is community outreach so important to you?
I have really enjoyed being involved with our teacher appreciation events that my team and I put together. We go to the local schools and take breakfast for the teachers. Community outreach is so important because it helps us build community, trust, and credibility — that’s what sets us apart from other companies.
Do you have a particularly memorable moment from your time so far with WoodmenLife?
I would say that my time with WoodmenLife as a whole has been memorable. I can’t even pinpoint it to just one moment. I am so grateful for the opportunities that this organization has brought me, and I am excited to see where this career leads in the future.
What are your goals for the future?
My goal is to continue growing and learning, both personally and professionally, so that I can serve my clients at the highest level. I know that I still have a lot to learn, but I’m eager and committed to becoming the best WoodmenLife Representative I can be.
