At WoodmenLife, we know the most important part of a plan is the purpose behind it. Our purpose is to be here when we’re needed most. It’s to help protect the financial futures of our members1 and to help make a difference in the communities where they live and work.
We know it takes passion to see a plan through to the end. In fact, passion for members is one of our core values. That means we make a decision with their best interests in mind.
And we know that any plan must result in measurable progress. We rely on our solid financial foundation as we approach the future with confidence. Our financial strength allows us to expand through collaborative efforts and a dedication to continuous improvement. We want to make sure we’re not just keeping pace but moving forward to better serve our members.
Our approach has paid off, as shown in our 2024 Annual Report. We have $11.3 billion2 in assets and a surplus of nearly $1.8 billion. Additionally, AM Best3 has rated us A+ Superior, its second-highest rating out of 13, for the 49th consecutive year.
Purpose, passion, and progress give us the mindset we need to anticipate what we could face in the years ahead. They give us the energy to do what’s required when it’s required. And they give us the foresight to take in information and chart a course that leads to the brightest future possible for WoodmenLife and our members.
That’s what it means to be there when people need us most. Protecting our members’ financial futures means building relationships with them.
Our ongoing relationship with members helps us keep in touch with how their needs can change. It also helps us build a family — and our family offers an open invitation to support communities through local volunteer activities. The WoodmenLife family plans and carries out thousands of service projects each year.
Together, we fight hunger, honor Veterans and First Responders4, support teachers and schools, and help in the aftermath of natural disasters4.
We provide scholarships4 to help our youth pursue their higher education goals. We also support our members’ children who have lost their parents4. We celebrate our American freedoms by presenting U.S. flags to local nonprofit organizations and participating in patriotic activities.
These are some of the ways we make a difference across the country:
