Chances are you’ve received letters in the mail warning you of a data breach that may have put your private information at risk. By the time you’ve received your third or fourth letter, you’re surely left wondering what you can do to protect yourself from identity theft.
It’s a helpless feeling knowing how much damage identity theft can cause. According to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), 2.6 million American consumers submitted fraud reports in 2024, and they lost more than $12.5 billion to that fraud.
