WoodmenLife chapters had another busy month! Our members showed their ongoing commitment to family, community, and country — and they had some fun at the same time.

Above, Financial Representative Billy Pate presented new classroom flags to Shiloh High School on behalf of Chapter 7 in Atlanta, GA. Receiving the flags for the school are staff members Analecia Mathis, Nancy Butler, and Rita Hemmings.

Chapter 1571 in Martinez, GA, donated $500 to SafeHomes Domestic Violence Center in Augusta, GA. The donation will go toward purchasing necessary items for the shelter, which houses women and children in crisis situations.

Members of Chapter 6 in Wilmington, NC, packed more than 300 snack packs, which were donated to Nourish NC. The bags will be distributed to local schools as the new year begins. Chapter members and their guests then enjoyed an afternoon at Jungle Rapids Family Fun Park.

Chapter 1571 in Martinez, GA, presented a $1,000 donation to The Sunshine House Children’s Advocacy Center. The organization helps children in abusive or neglectful situations.

Member Linda Massey of Chapter 624 in Newton, MS, checks the flag disposal bin at the Newton County Courthouse in Decatur, MS. The chapter collects old and damaged American flags for an honorable retirement.

On behalf of Chapter 20 in Fairmont, WV, Financial Representative Scott Crouch presented a U.S. flag at the Moundsville, WV, Knights of Pythias meeting.

For its third-quarter shared commitment project, Chapter 1571 in Martinez, GA, presented a check to the Columbia County Cares food pantry. Members also spent time volunteering at the pantry, sorting bulk food items into smaller units.

Chapter 1 in Vicksburg, MS, presented a Lifesaver Award to David Day for his heroism during a fire. Day was as the scene of a structure fire, covering it for a local news source, and he jumped in to help the firefighters.
