Meet WoodmenLife’s February 2026 Sure Start Winner: Sam Warick

WoodmenLife is committed to offering training to our Sales Representatives to help them grow and develop the skills they need to best serve our members. New Representatives are invited to Sure Start, a series of lessons that helps them kick off their careers with WoodmenLife. During the 12 months following their Sure Start education, Representatives have a friendly competition with their classmates to see how well they put their lessons into action and compare their sales achievements.

Get to know our February 2026 Sure Start Winner: Sam Warick of San Angelo, TX.

Congratulations on your Sure Start victory! How did you celebrate?

We had our annual awards banquet in New Braunfels, TX, where I was awarded the Sure Start Trophy, along with other awards. It was great that we all got to celebrate together as a region.

What inspired you to choose a career with WoodmenLife?

I was working as a property adjuster before coming on with WoodmenLife, and I was not happy there at all. I prayed about a different career path that would make a difference in not only my life, but other people’s lives. That’s when I found WoodmenLife. Little did I know how big of a blessing it would become!

Have you always wanted to pursue a career in sales?

Honestly, I had no desire to be in sales whatsoever!

What drives you to deliver great service for your members?

Our members aren’t just a name on a computer screen to me. I see our members as family — and I always want nothing but the best for my family. Knowing that I am making a difference in someone’s life — if, heaven forbid, the worst were to happen — means the world to me.

What does success look like to you?

Success to me looks like having a fulfilling career that allows me to spend time with my family and do the things I love.

Tell us a little about how you’re involved in your community. Why is community outreach so important to you?

I am actively part of the Chamber of Commerce, as well as the Young Professionals of San Angelo. I am currently working on getting more involved with the community to really get the WoodmenLife name out there and let people know who we are as an organization.

Do you have a particularly memorable moment from your time so far with WoodmenLife?

Yes! The awards banquet we recently had with our region. I was awarded multiple awards and recognized for all my achievements throughout 2025. Being in a room full of people who genuinely love seeing me succeed and who have helped me over the past year was truly incredible and such a blessing.

What are your goals for the future?

To help as many people as I can in securing their family’s financial futures. Being blessed with this profession to help people in such a way has been so fulfilling and wonderful. I just pray that I can continue helping people secure their futures in an area of life that most people don’t think about on a regular basis.
