WoodmenLife is committed to offering training to our Sales Representatives to help them grow and develop the skills they need to best serve our members. New Representatives are invited to Sure Start, a series of lessons that helps them kick off their careers with WoodmenLife. Throughout the year after their Sure Start education, Representatives have a friendly competition with their classmates to see how well they put their lessons into action as they compare their sales achievements.

What inspired you to choose a career with WoodmenLife?
I’ve always had a passion for helping people and educating others on topics they may not know much about. This career has given me the opportunity to do both — make a difference in people’s lives while helping them better understand important decisions for themselves and their families. I’m truly grateful to do something I genuinely love every day.
Have you always wanted to pursue a career in sales?
Life has a funny way of leading you exactly where you’re meant to be. Before this career, I was in nursing school and never pictured myself being in sales. I always knew I wanted to help people, I just thought it would look different.
Now, looking back, I can honestly say I can’t imagine doing anything else. Being able to educate, help protect families, and truly make an impact has become something I’m so passionate about.
What drives you to deliver great service for your members?
What drives me is knowing that behind every conversation is a real person, family, or situation that truly matters. I understand that insurance and financial decisions can sometimes feel overwhelming or confusing, and I want people to feel supported, heard, and educated every step of the way.
For me, it’s never just about a policy. It’s about helping someone feel secure, protected, and confident in the decisions they’re making for themselves and their loved ones. Knowing I can make even a small difference in someone’s life is what motivates me every single day.
What does success look like to you?
Success to me isn’t just about achievements or numbers — it’s about making a meaningful difference in people’s lives. It’s knowing I helped someone feel a little more secure, a little more understood, or gave them peace of mind during an important moment in their life. Success is building genuine relationships, earning trust, and being someone who people feel comfortable turning to when they need guidance.
It’s also creating a life I’m proud of while staying kind, compassionate, and true to who I am. At the end of the day, if I’ve helped people and made them feel cared for, that feels like success to me.
Tell us a little about how you’re involved in your community. Why is community outreach so important to you?
This past month, I started something that has been incredibly special to me: giving a sweet treat each month to a local business nominated by members of our community on Facebook. It may seem like a small gesture, but supporting local businesses and showing appreciation for the people who help our communities thrive mean so much to me.
Looking ahead, I’m excited to plan even more fun activities, events, and opportunities to bring people together. My goal is simple: to help create a community where people feel welcomed, valued, and connected.
Community outreach is so important because life can feel overwhelming at times, and everyone deserves to feel like they belong. Small acts of kindness, supporting one another, and creating spaces where people can connect can make a bigger impact than we realize. Whether it’s through celebrating local businesses, hosting events, or simply bringing smiles to people’s faces, I believe community matters — and I want to do my part in making ours feel a little brighter and more connected.
Do you have a particularly memorable moment from your time so far with WoodmenLife?
One of the most memorable parts of my career has been the relationships and connections I’ve built — not only with clients, but also with coworkers. I’ve had the opportunity to meet incredible people, build genuine friendships, and be surrounded by a team that continuously supports and encourages one another. The meaningful connections I’ve built, both professionally and personally, are truly what make this journey so memorable and fulfilling.
What are your goals for the future?
My goal for the future is to continue building meaningful relationships and growing membership within my community in a way that truly makes a difference. I want to create lasting connections, expand my impact, and continue building a community where people feel cared for, welcomed, and confident knowing they have someone they can rely on. Making a positive difference in the lives of others is what motivated me to join WoodmenLife, and I hope to continue growing that impact for years to come.
